These Commissioners guide the Park District with vision, leadership and strategic direction.
Serving on the Grand Forks Park Board since 2004, Jay was elected president by his fellow commissioners in 2012. Working as a financial advisor at Choice Financial Investment Services, Panzer has been closely involved in the development of Choice Health & Fitness. He and his wife, Lisa, have three boys.
Greg has served on the Grand Forks Park Board since 2002, and was elected vice president in 2012. He is particularly proud of the Board’s work in developing Choice Health & Fitness, new parks, playgrounds, pools, spray parks and dog parks. Greg is also a physical education teacher at Century Elementary and a realtor for Crary Real Estate. He and his wife, Traci, have two children.
Elected in 2012, Paul is the newest member of the commission. He also serves as President of the Grand Forks Parks & Recreation Foundation. Paul works as a choir director at Grand Forks Central High School where his duties include directing the Centralian Choir and Madrigal Singers, teaching the Advanced Placement “Harmony” course and teaching voice lessons. He also serves as the Cathedral Choir director at United Lutheran Church in Grand Forks, a staff member of the Summer Performing Arts Company and a saxophone player for the 188th Army National Guard Band of Fargo. Paul and his wife, Christine, have two sons.
Elected to the Park Board in 2010, Tim is passionate about the role the Park Board is playing in the community. Skarperud currently works as a producer for Vaaler Insurance. Tim and his wife, Stacey, have two children.
