Elks & Riverside Pool Closures☀️🌊
Summer is nearing the end, which means the outdoor swimming pools are closing. Enjoy the final days of summer and take one more dip in Riverside pool before it closes for the season on Sunday evening, August 18th.
• Elks Pool closed for the season on Sunday, August 11th
• Riverside Pool will be closing for the season on Sunday, August 18th | End of Season Hours: 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Although the pool closures may seem a little early this year due to the late start of public schools, both Elks & Riverside pools have been open for the same amount of time as in years past. We generally close the pools in the middle of August due to staffing limitations and reduced usage. The majority of our outdoor pool lifeguarding staff are college students who will be heading back to school next week.
We are so grateful for the patronage and support of our community pools this summer and understand and appreciate the feedback regarding the closure dates. We will certainly take into account the community’s response as we plan for our operations next summer.
Although the pools will officially be closed for the season on August 18th, the outdoor spray parks will remain open until mid-September. We invite everyone to enjoy some end-of-summer fun at one of our free spray parks located at University Park, Elks Park, and Altru Wellness Village near Choice Health & Fitness.
Thanks again for everyone’s feedback and understanding. It has been a great summer at the pools, and we look forward to next year.

WEEKEND POOL HOUR UPDATE: Elks Pool will be open from 12:00pm – 5:00pm on Friday (8/2) and closed on Saturday (8/3). Elks will reopen on Sunday (8/4) at its normal hours from 1:00pm - 6:00pm.
Riverside Pool will be open its normal hours this weekend.
As today is the last day of the Parks & Recreation Month Celebration, we want to highlight our Management/Main Office Administration staff who work hard behind the scenes to facilitate and provide our great community with programs, parks/facilities, and events year after year!
Even though our daily showcase of all things Parks & Rec ends today, you can stop by our Main Office (M-F 8:00am – 5:00pm) located inside ICON Sports Center, to register for programs, leagues, and events all year long!

The 'Play Ball! Minnesota Youth Clinic' is coming back to Grand Forks Saturday, August 10! ⚾️
Time | 9:00 AM-11:00 AM
Location | Montgomery Field (Diamond 4)
(In the case of inclement weather: Clinic will be moved indoors to Blue Line Club Arena)
Play Ball! Minnesota provides safe, youth-friendly, equipment. Youth participants are asked to bring their gloves.

Whether your dog is big, small, or somewhere in between, the dog park located at Lincoln Drive Park is a fun place for all our furry friends to get out, run leash-free, and socialize with other pups.🐾 Featuring two fenced in areas, one specifically for small dogs and one for large dogs, the Lincoln Dog Park is “paws down” the best dog park in town!
