The Grand Forks Park District and City of Grand Forks have been working together to determine the potential of building an Indoor Sports and Aquatics Facility Complex in Grand Forks! Over the past few years, they have been working on meeting with community stakeholders, user groups, and local government agencies to explore all possibilities. In 2022, they hired a national consulting firm that is well-known in the parks and recreation industry, BerryDunn, to determine the overall feasibility of this project.

On August 28, 2023, a Committee of a Whole meeting was held and the City Council reviewed the updated facility layout, capital costs, funding options, and discussed the tax extension vote to go on the ballot for a November 14, 2023 election.
