Skating

Learn to chasse, arabesque and twizzle, or just learn what they mean while you glide in adult skating lessons through the Park District. Become a smooth skater with these weekly lessons offered at a local arena.

 

Group Lessons

The Grand Forks Park District offers U.S. Figure Skating Association basic lessons. Skaters receive a half-hour lesson per week with a 30 minute practice time, (15 min. on Thursdays). Skaters can use the public skating sessions at the Blue Line Club Arena. A “Skate With Us” badge (handed out at the first lesson) is needed for admission to public skating. Skating helmets are strongly encouraged for beginner skaters.

Ages: Pre-school through adult (skaters must be 4 years old)

Lessons:

  • Thursday evenings
  • Saturday afternoons
  • Sunday afternoons

Dates: November 2, 2017 – February 8, 2018

Where: Blue Line Club Arena

Fees: $70 Resident / $140 Non-Resident

 

 

Pre-Registration will be accepted until October 17, 2017. Group assignments will be posted on October 25 & 26, 2017. After October 17, 2017, no registrations will be accepted until the November 2, 2017 registration at Blue Line Club Arena from 6:00 – 7:00 PM. A $10.00 per person late charge will be added to the registration fee starting November 10, 2017.
