Grab your fishing rod and come out to Ryan Lake for two evenings of fishing fun! Kid will have a blast fishing with the family and learning how to Cast like a Pro, Knot Tying Techniques, and Fun Fishing Facts about Bluegill & Rainbow Trout. Pre-register for the event at gfparks.org and enter to win a 1/2 day 3-person professional guided fishing trip on Devil’s Lake, complements of Cabela’s! This event is hosted by the Grand Forks Park District and sponsored by Cabela’s, the GF County Wildlife Federation, & the ND game and Fish Department.
Don’t have a fishing rod? No problem. Rod rental also available with picture ID.
Adults who wish to fish with their children will need a ND fishing license.
Cast like a Pro: Learn how to cast like a pro with step by step instruction from the fishing experts. You will learn how to cast a casting plug onto a target and have fun along the way.
Knot Tying: Learn how to tie knots from the pros. You will learn how to tie different knots at the Knot Tying Station.
Bluegill Fish Facts: Did you know that bluegills eat bugs? At this station you will learn what a bluegill eats, where they live, how old they get and other fun fish facts.
Rainbow Trout Fish Facts: Did you know that Rainbow trout love mosquitos? At this station you will learn what a rainbow trout eats, where they live, and other fun fish facts.
