The Grand Forks Park District Forestry Department is excited to offer the TreePlotter interactive online dashboard as a resource to all Grand Forks citizens! TreePlotter is the world’s leading tree inventory and management software and the Forestry Department has utilized it to plot all of the berm and park trees maintained by the Grand Forks Park District.

Built on a web-based GIS platform and optimized for mobile use, TreePlotter offers users the ability to look up trees on the berm near their property, make online service requests for damaged trees, or just learn about trees and tree species in their neighborhood park. Access TreePlotter
on Your Mobile Device
Go to TreePlotter Mobile Site >
  • Tap the menu icon in the upper right corner of your mobile screen
  • Select “Log In”   and type in the following credentials:
    • Username: gfparks
    • Password: trees

Once you’re logged in to the online dashboard through your mobile device or desktop computer, TreePlotter has a variety of easy-to-use tools and services available!

Learn About Our Urban Forest

TreePlotter offers a wealth of information about trees in our community! To find interesting facts about our urban forest, including a breakdown of trees by genus and species and other fun stats, access the “Hub” tool. 

  • MOBLE: Access the “Hub” tool through the mobile menu on the top right of the screen.
  • DESKTOP: Access the “Hub” tool by clicking on the “Hub” icon in the upper left of the screen.

Place a Service Request

The Grand Forks Park District now offers online service requests through TreePlotter.

PLACE A SERVICE REQUEST ON YOUR MOBILE DEVICE OR DESKTOP COMPUTER:

1. Log In to TreePlotter 
  • Go to the GF Parks Treeplotter site >
  • Click the menu icon in the upper right corner of your mobile screen and select the “Log In” icon (or select “Log In” icon on upper right corner of desktop computer screen)
  • Type in the following credentials:
    • Username: gfparks  |  Password: trees
2. Find Your Location 

Once logged in, you can find your location two ways:

  • Use the Crosshairs Tool
    • Select the “Crosshairs” icon on the left menu on your screen and TreePlotter will find your exact location using GPS. (Make sure your web browser is able to use your GPS location in your mobile or desktop settings.)
  • Use the Globe Tool
    • Tap the  “Globe” icon on the left menu on your mobile screen.
    • Type in your address. (Make sure to include Grand Forks, North Dakota)
3. Select Your Address or Tree
  • Select your address or select a tree you would like serviced by clicking on the colored dot over the tree
4. Place a Service Request 
  • Once you have located and selected your tree, tap “Service Request”
  • Select your Primary Complaint/Needed Service from the drop-down menu
  • Type comments or information regarding your request
  • Upload images of your tree (if applicable)
  • Enter your contact information
  • Submit Request
