The Altru Sports Complex will provide the Grand Forks community with a year‑round destination for indoor recreation, aquatics, fitness, and sports training. Developed in partnership with the Grand Forks Park District, and the City of Grand Forks. The project was made possible through a generous naming donation by Altru Health Systems. The facility is designed to expand opportunities for families, athletes, and residents to stay active and connected.

Facility Information & Amenities:

Phase I – Under Construction

Phase I consists of approximately 236,000 square feet of indoor recreation and aquatics facilities.

Phase I Amenities: 

• 50‑meter indoor competition pool
• 25‑yard instructional pool
• Full‑size indoor soccer and football turf field
• Eight indoor pickleball courts
• Elevated indoor walking/running track
• Sports performance & training spaces (on‑site access integrated into Phase I)

Phase II – Potentially Opening Spring 2027

Phase II adds approximately 60,000 square feet and includes gymnasium and training capabilities.

Phase II Amenities: 

• Basketball and volleyball courts (expanding tournament and practice capacity)
• Additional sports training spaces (expanded performance/training area beyond Phase I)
